CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam to be held after February: Education Minister

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank clarified on Tuesday that there will be no CBSE board exams in February in the country during a webinar arranged for interaction with teachers. He stated that given the COVID situation there is currently no plan to conduct 10 and 12 board examinations in January-February. However, the education minister made it clear that the examinations would be held after February. Examination dates will be released soon after deliberations.

The minister praised the role of teachers during unprecedented situation. In the COVID period, teachers have taught children like warriors. He said that under the new education policy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) subjects are being introduced in school education. After this, India will be the first country in the world, where AI will be studied at the school level itself.

According to the information provided by CBSE, the board examinations 2021 will not be held online as minister said that technology has not yet reached the children of the last end. There are many children who do not have internet or smartphones, laptops, computers. In such a situation, board exams cannot be conducted online. This exam will be held offline only.
