CBSE Class 12 optional exams to be conducted in September 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified that it started the online application process for the class 12th students who wish to improve their scores. The online application process will start from August 13 and the last date will be August 22 with a fee of Rs 300 per subject. The online window to apply for the compartment exam is open at cbse.nic.in.

In the official notification, the board announced “Candidates of Class XII who had applied for Improvement of Performance as regular candidates in the subjects for which examination was scheduled from 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020 and their result has been declared as ‘NC’ in the subject concerned,”

The notification also stated “Schools shall have to submit LOC for Compartment Examination in respect of regular students, both for Class XII and Class X through e-Pariksha, cbse.nic.in. Only those candidates whose name is submitted through the online process shall be allowed to appear for the examinations proposed to be conducted in September 2020,”

The marks obtained by a candidate in these optional examinations will be treated as final for those who have opted to take these examinations. The board declared "A private candidate desirous to appear in the optional examination to improve their performance (Class 12) for the examination proposed to be held in September 2020 shall apply through the link http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/private/index.html,"

A total of 88.78% of students cleared the CBSE class 12 exam. in the result that declared on July 15. The evaluation was done based on the new assessment scheme. According to the four-point scheme, marks have been awarded on the basis of marks scored by a student in his or her best performing subjects.
