So far NEET and JEE mains have been postponed. The exam was scheduled to be held in April and May. NTA is yet to announce information or notification for other examinations.

"We understand that the academic calendar and schedule is important, but equally important for all citizens, including students," said Vineet Joshi, director general of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Mr. Joshi said that the NTA would expect students and parents not to worry about the exam. In addition, parents are requested to help young students use this time for exam preparation and to focus on key concepts to close the learning gap, if any.

NEET is conducted every year for admission to medical or MBBS, BDS and AYUSH programs. Through this examination, admission to veterinary courses is also done.

JEE Main NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs), are organized for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in state government funded institutions. The examination is held twice a year and the candidates are allowed to appear for both the examinations. The final ranking is considered the best of two points.
